Morion PJSC (previously called the Perm Factory of Telecommunication Equipment) was founded in 1957.
Today, Morion is one of the leading enterprises of Russian companies operating in the area of the development, production and implementation of telecommunication equipment.
The principal products of the enterprise are the digital systems for working in the TDM and IP networks, multifunctional primary multiplexers, optical media converters, PDH and SDH transmission systems, first mile equipment, telecommunication systems for departmental and corporate networks with cable and optical fibre links, Ethernet switches, broadband access equipment, metering equipment, power plants, UPS units, cross equipment, closets, stands, frames.
Morion’s line of products provides for the “turnkey” solutions for the public internet operators’ networks, technological communication networks, special-purpose telecommunication networks. The products are manufactured in batches and according to the individual Customers’ requirements.
Morion carries out assembly and startup works, and provides service support to the customers. The enterprise has an accredited metrological laboratory for checking and calibrating the metering devices and a laboratory for certifying the products against the parameters of electromagnetic interference. Morion also offers the services of contract assembly of electronic components and complex testing of telecommunication equipment.
A subsidiary of Morion, Takt OJSC, designs and develops information transmission systems for Morion’s production program, applying the latest tools of designing radio-electric equipment and the latest hardware components. The designed samples are subjected to functional and stress testing in a testing range fitted with network equipment, metering devices and testing cameras and stands.
In the production premises, automatic assembly of printing boards on the assembly lines of SMT Universal, Samsung, assembly of mechanic structures, tuneup, thermal aging, technical control of finished products are performed.
The key customers of Morion include Gazprom OJSC, Transneft OJSC, Russian Railways OJSC, RAO EES of Russia OJSC, and national security organizations.
In 2011 and 2013, Morion was acknowledged the winner of the contest “The Best City Enterprise by Production Efficiency and Solving Social Issues” in the category “Production of Equipment, Electronic and Optical Equipment”. Morion was winner of the international award European Standard (2011).
